Key Concepts

Employees

Individual staff members with:

  • Profile information (name, contact)
  • Assigned role (determines permissions)
  • PIN for POS login
  • Active/inactive status

Roles

Permission templates that define what employees can do:

  • Server — Take orders, process payments
  • Bartender — Server permissions + bar features
  • Manager — Full access + voids, discounts
  • Owner — Complete access including settings

Shifts

Time records tracking:

  • Clock in/out times
  • Breaks (paid and unpaid)
  • Tips earned
  • Hours worked

Common Tasks

Add Employee

Portal → Employees → Add Employee. Enter name, email, role.

Set PIN

Create 4-6 digit PIN for POS login. Employee can change later.

Assign Role

Select role that matches their job responsibilities.

Activate

Toggle to "Active" so they can clock in and work.
